Change – in Education endeavors to influence policy that relates to education development, to bring about changes at the policy planning level and advocating for sustainable development for the most vulnerable and marginalized communities. Our initiative envisions dealing with major dilemmas such as access to education, equality and quality of education in partnership with both public and the private community in our society.

Change – in Education is a derivative of Roots School System (RSS), one of the largest private sector education systems in Pakistan, which has been established since April 1988 by Mrs. Riffat Mushtaq (Aizaz-e-Fazeelat), a dynamic and revolutionary teacher motivated with enthusiasm and missionary spirit in the field of education.

Education is fundamental to development and growth. Access to education, which is a basic human right enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, is also a strategic development investment. The human mind makes possible all other development achievements, from health advances and agricultural innovation to infrastructure construction and private sector growth. For Pakistan to reap these benefits fully—both by learning from the stock of global ideas and through innovation—it needs to unleash the potential of the human mind.
